Quorus today announced that it will serve as the implementation platform for a new series of capital-efficient model portfolios from WisdomTree, Inc. (NYSE: WT) and Return Stacked® ETFs. The co-branded models are designed to help financial advisors add alternative and diversifying return streams to client portfolios without selling the core stock and bond exposures they want to keep.

The models bring together three capabilities. WisdomTree contributes its asset allocation and capital-efficient ETF expertise. Return Stacked contributes its approach to “stacking” diversifiers, such as managed futures and merger arbitrage, on top of traditional market exposure. Quorus provides the technology that puts those portfolios to work in individual client accounts.

Capital-efficient ETFs combine more than one strategy in a single fund, which frees up room in a portfolio for diversification. The approach applies ideas institutional investors have used for decades and makes them available to advisors in a scalable model format.

The models will follow an open-architecture approach and may include proprietary and third-party funds. They will be managed by WisdomTree’s Model Portfolio Investment Committee, which oversees approximately $9.5 billion across WisdomTree’s model portfolios, with input from the Return Stacked team.

Through Quorus, advisors will be able to access and manage the models with support for trading, rebalancing, customization, and tax-aware portfolio management. That support is meant to address the operational complexity that comes with running more sophisticated strategies across many individual accounts.

“Advisors have told us for years that they want more diversification in client portfolios, but not at the expense of the core. Capital efficiency changes that equation. Our job is to make these strategies easy to implement, account by account, with tax management built in,” said John Hill, CFA, Co-Founder and CEO of Quorus.

The announcement builds on the relationship between WisdomTree and Quorus that began in June 2025, when WisdomTree made a strategic investment in Quorus and the firms entered a multi-year collaboration focused on tax-efficient SMAs and model portfolio implementation.

The models are expected to be available on Quorus in Q4 2026. The full announcement from WisdomTree and Return Stacked® ETFs is available here.

WisdomTree/Return Stacked® Model Portfolio information and related content are provided for educational purposes only, are not intended to provide, and should not be relied upon for, tax, legal, accounting, investment, or financial planning advice, nor should any WisdomTree/Return Stacked® Model Portfolio information be considered or relied upon as investment advice or as a recommendation from Quorus, including regarding the use or suitability of any WisdomTree/Return Stacked® Model Portfolio, any particular security or any particular strategy.

WisdomTree/Return Stacked® Model Portfolios utilize an open-architecture approach and may include WisdomTree Funds, Return Stacked® ETFs and third-party funds, as determined by WisdomTree based on each model’s investment strategy and objectives. As a result, the WisdomTree/Return Stacked® Model Portfolios may include WisdomTree Funds and Return Stacked® ETFs notwithstanding that there may be a similar fund with a higher rating, lower fees and expenses, or substantially better performance. WisdomTree and its affiliates may indirectly benefit from investments made based on the WisdomTree/Return Stacked® Model Portfolios through fees paid by the WisdomTree Funds.

Relationship: WisdomTree, Inc., the parent company of WisdomTree Asset Management, Inc. (“WTAM”), holds a minority equity stake in Quorus Inc. (“Quorus”), and WTAM has commercial arrangements with Quorus under which WisdomTree Model Portfolios, including the WisdomTree/Return Stacked® Model Portfolios, are offered through the Quorus platform, as well as, WTAM Investment Strategies, which may be implemented in separately managed accounts (“SMAs”). For the Investment Strategies used in SMAs, WTAM receives a revenue sharing payment equal to a specified portion of the portfolio management fee collected by Quorus from advisors or end clients and based on the aggregate value of the account. WTAM does not provide investment advice in connection with such SMA implementations. Accordingly, WTAM and its affiliates have a financial interest in the success of Quorus and may benefit economically from the relationship.

Under a pricing agreement with WisdomTree, Inc., advisors pay no Quorus overlay fee on ETF model portfolio trading when they use an off-the-shelf WisdomTree model portfolio or a custom model portfolio built by WisdomTree’s Portfolio Solutions group. The lower cost may give an advisor an incentive to select WisdomTree model portfolios over alternatives. Because WisdomTree is an investor in Quorus, Quorus also has an economic interest in the use of WisdomTree model portfolios, which is a material conflict of interest. Quorus does not recommend WisdomTree model portfolios over other models; the selection of a model portfolio is made by the advisor. Advisors should consider the total cost of any model portfolio, including the expenses of the underlying funds, and its suitability for their clients.
